Rules

Lakeside Fishery receives much praise for the condition of its fish and its ambience. The vast majority of our fishermen help us keep it this way – thank you.

If you haven’t fished with us before or you need a refresher, here are our rules:

Big No-no’s

Barbed hooks
and braid.

  • You will be banned, named and shamed if we catch you – and we do check!
  • This applies to Match fishing as much as Day Tickets.
  • Lesser No-no’s but nevertheless important

  • No surface fishing – we care for our ducks, geese and other wildlife; we trust that you will too.
  • No trollies across the front
lawn in front of the house
  • No trollies anywhere if ground is sodden – if in doubt, don’t. Please. We value our grass.
  • No driving or reversing down
drive beyond the car park to
    load or unload
    (unless by prior arrangement
    – eg if you are disabled)
  • Tackle

  • You must have your own landing mat and a clean landing net.
  • No keep nets (except during
    match fishing)
  • Bait

  • No bait restrictions
  • Litter

  • Please take it home with you – this is our garden as much as it is your fishing venue.

    Age Restrictions

  • 16 and above.
  • Matches

  • No fish over 4lb to be kept
    in keep nets
  • Fish over 4lb to be weighed, recorded and returned
  • Sufficient scales to be deployed
(1 set of scales for every 4 anglers)
  • Maximum 50lb of fish in any one keep net
  • We advise a mid-match weigh
    in during peak weight
    Summer months
  • Guests

  • Permitted but you’ll pay as if they were fishing

Directions
  • You can zoom
    and move this map

  • Sat Nav: NN12 8AL – this will get you close but not completely there! – You will find yourself opposite “Selby Barns” – this is not us. To find us, if you’re facing Selby Barns, turn right and go another 2-300 yards. Look on the left for the “Lakeside” sign (black, against hedge), turn in here and take the tarmac drive across the field.

  • Man Nav Find the roundabout where the A43 intersects with the A5 just North of Towcester. Take the exit signposted Greens Norton and drive exactly one mile on this road. Turn right, signposted Caswell and drive exactly half a mile. Look on the left for the “Lakeside” sign (black, against hedge), turn in here and take the tarmac drive across the field.

  • Parking Take the tarmac drive across the field then once you enter the grounds, keep right and please park directly opposite on the gravel / hardcore area. Please do not park
    against the Foundry.
